ARTIST BIO

Paulo Arraiano (1977) was distinguished as one of Portugal’s most promising graphic designers and illustrators of his generation, but soon decided to channel his energy towards the visual arts. He has been painting both indoors and outdoors since 2007, composing an increasingly mature, richly-expressed visual narrative in a wide range of fields that addresses the duality of nature and culture, the primordial all-pervasive energy that flows between the immaterial and physical worlds, and the place and role of human beings in the intersection between both. He has been presenting his work in numerous solo and collective shows in various countries.
